Okanogan
This large region spans the northeast Cascades on the wast, the Okanogan River Valley centrally and then the Okanogan Highlands to the east. The dry climate produces open landscapes and sparse human population. Bird species abound. Northern and montane specialties (e.g., Snow Buntings, Common Redpolls, Gray-crowned Rosy Finches) draw birders from around the state in winter. More from Birdweb.
